Personality & Traits

General Overview		Novox is a curious and cheerful young Talaxian. He is a keen observer of personality, interactions, and non-verbal language. He doesn't need to be the center of attention but can be if required. Interacts well with everyone he meets. A shrewd observer will note that Novax can be gregarious without revealing much about himself. People will come away with perfectly positive feelings toward Novax but without knowing much about him.
Strengths & Weaknesses		His strengths are his personality and his charisma. He is humorous and fun. he is also a shrewd and keen observer; he picks up on social and cultural cues well. Weakness. He does not actually trust many others.
Ambitions		He definitely wants to learn as much as he can about the larger universe and the many peoples and societies in it. He was not happy stuck on New Talax and was excited to get away. He seems to pursue knowledge for knowledge's sake and is willing to take up whatever occupation will enable that pursuit.
Hobbies & Interests		He likes learning new languages the hard way and without the universal translator (which is claims kills languages rather than translates them. He is also a collector (perhaps pack rat or hoarder might be more accurate). But, not of valuable or specific types of things but of things that interest him. Rarity itself is something that he values. He cherishes owning something that is rare. Much of his stuff will appear as useless to people around him.

Personal History		Novox grew up on New Talax at New Paxau. In one of his early classes, the retired leader of the Talaxian colony, Neelix spoke to the students about his life. It immediately sparked Novax's interest in the larger world. He was fascinated by the stories and knew that he needed to find a way off the planet. He read Neelix's biography multiple times. Like Neelix, he came to admire the idea of Starfleet. However, Novax also learned the lessons that Neelix seemed to miss from his own experiences. That humans had as much capacity for evil and violence as they did for love and peace. Voyager seems like more the exception than the rule.
